Kathy Ireland to Debut Footwear

The designer has partnered with The RFA Group to unveil a full footwear collection for spring ’15.

Kathy Ireland is the newest player in shoes.

The model is set to launch her own footwear line for spring ’15 in collaboration with Royal Footwear & Accessories (The RFA Group). Through this partnership, Ireland will also act as chief designer for RFA.

Key details will include flex insoles and lightweight outsoles to add a comfort element to the collection. Bold colors, fun textures and hardware also will be part of the line.

“We are working diligently to bring exquisite footwear to our customers,” Ireland, CEO and chief designer of Kathy Ireland Worldwide, said in a statement. “The RFA Group is an extraordinary company, with incredible leadership, design innovation and commitment to excellence in everything we bring to market.”

The RFA Group works with a variety of designers, brands and private-label collections, including Me & Tia and My First Steps.

“The collaboration with [Kathy] represents a huge opportunity for RFA to become part of a company with enormous success,” company sales director Eddie Spigel said in a statement.
