Color Story

Vans is giving its kids’ collection a splash of color for fall. The Cypress, Calif.-based brand, a division of VF Corp., has teamed with Crayola to launch Vans Colored by Crayola. The line features four of Vans’ most popular styles — the Classic Slip-On, Sk8-Hi, Era and Authentic — in a selection of solid colors, as well as in crayon and checkerboard prints. The shoes will be sold in special boxes inspired by Crayola’s iconic green-and-yellow packaging, and select accounts will receive a Vans/Crayola coloring book and crayons as a gift with purchase for customers. Available in toddler and youth sizes, the $30-to-$35 collection will deliver in July, with distribution focused on Vans Classic accounts. Select styles also will be offered in adult sizes, retailing from $45 to $55.
