Open Season

Keen this spring will debut open-toe sandal styles for kids. The Portland, Ore.-based outdoor brand has been known for its closed-up kids’ sandals detailed with an aggressive toe guard, such as the popular Newport H2. The new additions include the Zuma (at left), a waterproof fisherman-inspired style for boys featuring stretch mesh-lined webbing in the upper, a sturdy rubber outsole and an easy-on bungee lacing system. New for girls is the Dana, a low-profile ankle-strap sandal built on a molded rubber outsole and decorated with flower appliqués. Slated to ship to stores in January, the Zuma will retail from $35 to $40 and the Dana from $35 to $45, depending on size.
