Brazilian footwear designer Gracienne Myers is moving beyond the basics. After launching her namesake footwear brand in 2005, she is now introducing Clearly Glam, a line of luxe shoe storage boxes that not only lend an air of elegance to any closet but are also sustainably produced. The stackable, transparent boxes are made from recycled PET, the same material used in disposable water bottle packaging. As Myers explains it: “Having 150 pairs of shoes and never being able to find the right style or color to match what I was wearing was such a waste. I wanted to create a shoe box that was lightweight, see-through and true to my environmentally conscious lifestyle.” Clearly Glam is sold at Gracienne.com for $9.95 per box, and a portion of the proceeds go to environmental nonprofit Global Green.
