NYC’s Eneslow Named Retailer of the Year

Bob Schwartz, president and CEO of Eneslow, was awarded in New York last week with the 2009 Retailer of the Year Award from the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce.

“Recognized and respected nationally as an expert pedorthist, Robert Schwartz is the ultimate retailer of the year,” said Nancy Ploeger, MCC president, in a statement. “Under his leadership, Eneslow is entering its second century of providing top quality footwear and foot care in New York City.”

Also this year, Schwartz ushered in Eneslow’s 100 year anniversary and was elected vice chairman of the NSRA board of directors by his peers last month.


Blowfish Launches E-commerce Site

Juniors footwear brand Blowfish has launched e-commerce on its website.

Since the debut of Blowfishshoe.com two years ago, the brand has now integrated a “buy” feature into the site, allowing customers to shop directly, view multiple angles and get detailed descriptions of all products. 

“We know that our customers use the web frequently to shop, and any vehicle that helps us connect with them, helps us move our brand forward,” said Don Weiss, president and co-owner of Blowfish, in a statement.
