When Footwear News caught up with shoe designer du jour Tabitha Simmons, aka Mrs. Craig McDean, she said she had decided against styling runway shows in Paris this season.

“There are a lot more buyers coming to visit me here than anywhere else, so I wanted to concentrate on my Tabitha Simmons collection,” said the designer, who made her Paris debut at Le Meurice.

For New York Fashion Week, she styled the spring '10 Rag & Bone and Marchesa catwalk shows, as well as Dolce & Gabbana in Milan.

For spring, the editor-turned-designer introduced more flats, as well as colors and platform sandals, such as the cut-away peep-toe with corset back pictured here.
