As Paris Fashion Week ramped up Thursday, attention turned to the footwear at the Manish Arora runway show and the highly embellished Pollini booties reworked by designer Nicholas Kirkwood. The shoes complemented the detail of the embellished straight mini-dresses and fitted pencil skirts. The best style, though, was this piercing blue suede peep-toe bootie with gold leather scales. Such creative pieces might not make their way to Main Street come spring, but the Paris catwalks certainly remain a place where imaginative footwear has a rapt audience.
