Alexander McQueen’s extreme, carved serpentine platforms in iridescent pastels set a new tone for cutting-edge colorways and silhouettes, while Christian Louboutin’s blue, scale-like plated pumps and Nicholas Kirkwood’s sueded treatment also hinted at a new direction for high-shine.
