The influence of recent trip back to his birthplace in Nepal was evident at Prabal Gurung's show. The collection was an impressive ode to swath draping, rich textiles and handicrafts, all in a pungent palette of spice hues. Continuing their well-received runway collaborations, Cesare Casadei again created the runway footwear. The spindly stilettos had an artisanal appeal, with wrap ankle straps and silver nickel embellishments. Pleasingly, they showed an earthier side of the tough sexiness that both Casadei and Gurung are known for. Though with their high-altitude heel, these shoes were not necessarily Himilayas-friendly.
