"This is not shoe-friendly weather," one editor said to another during the intimate presentation for Coach. But newly installed executive creative director Stuart Vevers had a choice rebuttal for polar vortex pitfalls: Line it in shearling. For his first full-fledged collection, this new New Yorker (by way of Paris and Madrid) put cozy comfort and traction first, showing wedge moccasins and one particularly fetching hiker boot. He named this chunky-sole style the Lynea and paired it with a coordinating outsize shearling jacket. As onlookers sat on the benches (which he also padded in decadent black sheepskin), Vevers joked that the finale lineup reminded him of a class photo. Only at this school, dressed warmly from top-to-toe, there is no such thing as a snow day.
