Nicholas Kirkwood again broke the mold, literally, with his hand-crafted, towering gilded wedges and carved sandals for Rodarte. Embossed gold leather straps adorn this custom-designed wedge featuring sculpted carvings at the heel. Worn with sheer socks and paired with a shimmering golden one-strap gown, the overall impression is of a Byzantine-era goddess icon, yet made very modern with layered draping and serious platforms. The footwear, which will be available immediately for a limited run, promise to be the talk of the spring season.
