Milan Shoe of the Day: Marni

Modern minimalism was the call of the season for Consuelo Castiglioni at Marni. Stark white or camel-colored ankle-strap pumps and crisp, color-blocked wedge sandals provided a pared-down view for spring footwear, but it was a pretty picture. Paired with voluminous-yet-feminine full skirts (only some in bold prints this season), the cutaway wedge sandal offered a lovely balance — thanks to the metal inlay — on a classic sculpted silhouette. No frills required.
