New Balance focuses on the underfoot experience with the fall ’13 performance running line. The Boston-based company has updated several of its styles. The Minimus 1010 trail style gets more rugged lugs and an additional 1 millimeter of cushioning, as well as more Vibram in the midsole. Its high-mileage neutral cushion shoe, the 880, gains Acteva Lite cushioning in the midsole. And both the 870 stability shoe and the 1260 premium stability model will have a larger Abzorb crash pad. Also for fall, New Balance will debut a green-and-coral glow-in-the-dark colorway for the lightweight 1400 racing flat. At $110 to $145, styles will begin delivering in August to running specialty, outdoor and athletic retailers.
