New Year’s vow: “To brush my teeth three times a day, to not accept for one year to be a godfather — except for Barbie — and to not buy any real estate.”

New Year’s Eve shoe of choice: “For New Year’s, I’ll be wearing fl ip-fl ops, as I’ll be in New Zealand.”

Most looking forward to: “Seeing if Louis, [my partner], really stops smoking.”


ALEJANDRO INGELMO

New Year’s vow: “ To eat less ice cream!”

On gearing up for 2009: “My outlook for the new year is that perseverance is key. I plan to continue doing what I do best and keep on going, despite the challenges that come my way.”

On what’s to come in the new year: “A lot of positive things happened for me in 2008, and I really felt like I grew as a designer. I am excited about unveiling my new fall ’09 collection and look forward to the new opportunities and projects I have planned for 2009.”


PIERRE HARDY

New Year’s vow: “To be the coolest guy in the world!”

New Year’s Eve shoe of choice: “I will turn in my black brogues for ski shoes, [because they will be] much more effi cient to get down the slopes.”

Most looking forward to: “Opening a Pierre Hardy store in New York.”


BRUNO FRISONI

New Year’s vow: “To eat less chocolate and spend more time outdoors.”

Most looking forward to: “Finally relaxing for the first time during the summer at my house in Tangiers.”
