Two Ten Targets Young Executives

Industry group began organizing special committees at recent event.

Two Ten Footwear Foundation formalized its initiative to reach out to more young professionals in the shoe business on Wednesday with a meeting at the Deer Stags showroom in New York.

With nearly two dozen attendees, including everyone from brand reps to HR specialists, the gathering, led by Two Ten VP Ross Evans and Deer Stags creative director Alison Muskat, focused on setting up committees that would attract young people from across the U.S. who, according to Evans, “are young at heart, young in their careers or young in the business.”

The group also will raise money for Two Ten’s scholarship and financial assistance programs, build awareness of its services within more companies, expand community outreach and to start breeding the next generation of leaders within the footwear industry.
