Crocs said today that CEO Ron Snyder is stepping down from his role as CEO of the struggling shoemaker.
Former Reebok executive John Duerden will fill the role. Duerden served as president and COO of Reebok International from 1990 to 1995 and has since been involved in a number of industries. Most recently, he was at the Chrysallis Group, a consulting group he formed in 2006.
“We are pleased to have someone of John’s ability lead our senior management team,” Richard Sharp, Crocs’ chairman of the board, said in a statement. “His wealth of experience leading several global companies will be integral to our company’s continued evolution.
Snyder will remain on the company’s board of directors and plans to assist with the transition.
“John brings a long track record of success in growing companies and brands in a number of different regions,” Snyder said in the release. “His broad experience is a perfect fit for our global footprint.”
