Two Ten Footwear Foundation has tapped Collective Brands Inc. CEO Matthew Rubel as this year’s annual dinner committee chair.
Rubel and his company will lead fundraising efforts for the gala, set for Dec. 1 at the Marriott Marquis in New York.
“We are thrilled to be in a position to give back to the people of our industry,” Rubel said last week. “Our guiding principles at Collective focus on teamwork and doing the right thing, and there is no better way to express that than by getting behind the most important foundation and event in our industry.”
Two Ten President Peggy Kim Meill said Rubel’s support would help take the dinner to the next level. “It is so exciting to have Matt Rubel — and all his dynamic strength — lead the charge,” she said.
Kohl’s VP and DMM Carol Baiocchi, who chairs the Two Ten board of directors, added, “With [Matt’s] guidance, the support of Collective Brands and the hard work of our distinguished committee, we will no doubt continue to build on the success of past chairs.”
