MBT Names Olympic Cyclist a Spokesperson

Chris Carmichael will appear at public events on behalf of the comfort footwear brand.

MBT appointed former Olympic team member Chris Carmichael national spokesperson for the Venice Calif.-based brand.

In that position, Carmichael will appear at public events and speaking engagements. Additionally, MBT has been named the official active comfort footwear of Carmichael Training Systems, a venture founded by Carmichael that offers coaching services to amateur and professional athletes. He has also incorporated the footwear into training regimens for recovery and conditioning offered by his CTS coaches.

After a stint on the Olympic team, Carmichael was part of the first American cycling team to compete in the Tour de France. He began coaching in 1990, going on to work with Lance Armstrong through his battle with cancer and then Tour de France wins. He formed CTS in 2000.
