NEW YORK — Two weeks after her departure from ENK, Leslie Gallin has landed at the Magic show.
The trade show group said last week it had named Gallin, formerly head of the Collections at WSA, as VP of footwear at Magic International, a new position.
“Leslie is a seasoned professional and widely respected within the footwear world,” said Chris DeMoulin, Magic International president and EVP of Advanstar’s Fashion Group. “Her creativity, experience and network will undoubtedly bring great resources, brands and vitality to our show floor and will further enable our attendees to maximize their time and resources.”
“Joining Magic allows me to put my years of experience to great use,” said Gallin. “Footwear is my passion, and I am excited to be a part of the Magic team. In these times, it is critical that we offer buyers a true one-stop shopping experience and show them what’s new and what’s next across the entire fashion industry.”
Magic has been working to expand its footwear assortments over the last few years, but the group last week declined to comment about its future strategy with Gallin on board.
