Puma Names New COO
Puma AG, based in Herzogenaurach, Germany, announced that CFO Dieter Bock is resigning from the company due to personal reasons. Bock, who has been with Puma since 1979 and a member of the board of management since 2005, will remain with the company until July 31.
The firm appointed Senior EVP Klaus Bauer to replace Bock on Puma’s board of management. Bauer was also named COO, a newly created position, effective Aug. 1. In that role, he will head finance, controlling, legal, operations, logistics, IT and human resources.
“[Bauer] brings along an extensive experience in different management positions within Puma and has an outstanding knowledge of organizing, leading and managing the full range of operational business processes,” said Jochen Zeitz, chairman and CEO of Puma, in a release.
- Justin Boot Company of Fort Worth, Texas, has named four new sales representatives. John Lynd will service Northeast Texas. Justin Muir will oversee Montana, Wyoming and Idaho. Ryan Watson will manage North Central Texas. Eric Whipple will head San Antonio and southeast Texas.
- Newton Running, based in Boulder, Colo., named Stephen Gartside as the company’s president. Gartside has more than 20 years of sales and marketing experience.
- Wolverine Footwear Group of Rockford, Mich., has appointed Todd Yates as VP and general manager of marketing and apparel. In his new role, Yates will oversee the global marketing efforts for Wolverine, Bates and Hytest Safety Footwear Network. Previously, he has held positions at retailers Columbia, Woolrich and The North Face.
- Florsheim, based in Glendale, Wis., promoted Danny Livingston, an account executive, as general manager of sales for Florsheim by Duckie Brown. In his new role, Livingston will coordinate all national sales and merchandising for the partnership. He will also continue his current position.
