FN Platform was on the move, literally. The show unveiled its new South Hall location in the Las Vegas Convention Center, where big names in the footwear industry gathered for the event’s third round. There were some notable newcomers on the floor this season. “Jersey Shore” star Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, who was showing off her new slipper line, and “Beverly Hills Housewife” Adrienne Maloof, who is planning a move into the business, both attracted major attention while walking the aisles. Yeardley Smith of “Simpsons” fame also greeted fans while introducing her new fashion-comfort shoe collection. Meanwhile, execs including Modern Vintage’s Rick Cytrynbaum battled it out in a fun “Shoe Chef” competition, hosted by radio personality Lisa Stanley on the first night of the three-day show. Sam Poser of Sterne Agee again hosted two panels, featuring big shots such as Famous Footwear’s Rick Ausick and Shoe Carnival’s Cliff Sifford.
