Cutler to Lead Weitzman Bag Sales
Mosaicon USA, formerly AP Bags USA, has tapped Gladys Cutler to head up sales of the newly launched collection of Stuart Weitzman handbags.
Cutler, most recently director of wholesale at Mary Norton, has been named director of sales and will be responsible for overseeing the Stuart Weitzman handbag collection’s launch in the U.S. market and leading day-to-day sales operations. Cutler also has held top sales positions at Bally, Bruno Magli and Isaac Mizrahi Footwear.
The handbag line and collection of small leather goods are expected to hit stores this summer and will retail for $395 to $595. Mosaicon SpA, which is owned by Antichi Pellettieri and a3i, also includes Coccinelle, Braccalini, Francesco Biasia and Mandarina Duck in its core business and has license agreements with Evisu, Missoni and Rafe New York, among others.
Ariat Appoints New CFO
Ariat International, the Union City, Calif.-based equestrian footwear, apparel and belt company, has named Dona Fisher its new CFO, effective Jan. 11.
Fisher, who will report to Ariat’s president and CEO, Beth Cross, most recently worked as CFO at Crayola, where she oversaw worldwide finance, accounting, strategic financial planning and information systems.
“[Fisher] brings a broad base of financial experience and expertise to Ariat [and] an outstanding reputation among the financial community,” Cross said in a release. “I am confident [she] will drive our ... focus on technical and brand leadership in the industry.”
Fisher, who worked at Crayola for nearly nine years, has also held senior leadership positions at Sun Apparel Company/Polo Jeans Company and The Franklin Mint.
Component Company Appoints SVP
Jones & Vining Inc., a major supplier of lasts, outsoles and components, appointed Tom Iredale as SVP of sales and marketing, as of Nov. 1.
Iredale started his career with United Last Company, a Canadian division of the Brockton, Mass.-based Jones & Vining, 32 years ago and has held positions in research and development, manufacturing and sales and marketing. Most recently, he was president of United Last.
