NEW YORK — ENK International is beefing up its executive ranks.
The owner of the WSA Show last week named Thomas Nastos to the post of president. The apparel vet has been on the ENK board of directors since 2007.
“I’m so excited about Tom joining us,” said ENK founder and chairwoman Elyse Kroll. “We’re very excited about this great opportunity in front of us [with WSA], and he is going to lead the charge.”
The group still plans to appoint a replacement for former WSA COO Diane Stone, who left the organization in March. Kroll said that search is continuing.
Nastos was most recently president and CEO of Endurance LLC, a manufacturer and distributor of denim and fashion brands.
Kroll said she and Nastos would both attend WSA in July and continue to survey the industry to see how they could make the show run more effectively.
“We are on an information-gathering mission. ... We will be concentrating on merchandising and getting the right exhibitors and right retailers,” said Kroll. “We will make it a very efficient shopping experience.”
