DC Shoes Names President

Quiksilver unit hires Nistl to head its business.

LOS ANGELES—Following a refinancing plan in June that ended the talk of selling its DC Shoes business unit, Quiksilver Inc. announced on Monday it had named Anton Nistl president of DC Shoes in the Americas.
Nistl will report to Craig Stevenson, president of Quiksilver Americas.

“I’m pleased to welcome Anton to the DC team,” Quiksilver chairman, president and CEO Robert McKnight said in a statement. “Anton and I will be working in close collaboration with DC co-founder Ken Block with a renewed commitment to refocus the brand on its core skate values including a realignment of product innovation and brand positioning.”

Nistl most recently served as SCP of sales at Vida Shoes International, which produced shoes under the Baby Phat, Phat Farm, Pastry, Run Athletics, J-41, Esprit, Osh Kosh, and Carters Kids labels. He has also held posts at Adidas, Fossil and Saucony.
