Crocs Inc. is expanding its reach into the athletic market with the introduction of the Prepair Collection, a line of technical product designed to aid athletes' recovery following athletic or fitness activities.
According to a company spokesperson, "The Prepair Collection is a very compelling product line that athletes will embrace given the benefits and renewed comfort for which Crocs shoes are known best. Because the product suite targets a specific consumer, it is sold through niche retailers, including sporting good, running specialty and athletic specialty doors."
The collection is built with Crocs’ core ergonomic design elements and features a nano-silver technology called Croslite Ag, a proprietary material with an anti-bacterial and anti-fungal silver additive. The shoes have been approved as the official recovery shoe for the Road Runners Club of America and Hockey Canada.
The collection includes styles for men and women, with the clog priced at $40 retail, and the slide and flip at $35. The shoes are available for immediate delivery.
