Gary Champion has left his post of COO of Geox’s North American division, sources told Footwear News on Monday.
The exec, who joined the Italian brand in February after a long stint at Clarks, had been working to develop styles exclusive to the U.S. market to help the label become more competitive here. He also oversaw the debut of high-profile stores including the recently opened location on 34th Street in Manhattan.
Sales in North America vaulted 20 percent for the first half of 2009.
A company spokeswoman declined to comment about the news.
