Bellini launches kids’ and Pediped auctions shoes for charity.

Bellini Girls Footwear to Launch
Meyeworld, a division of Meye Products Group, LLC, the marketers of MeyeWorld, Yink Ink and Kooky Klicker footwear, has signed a long-term licensing agreement with Bellini Cheng & Clark, producers of the Bellini line for women, to design, develop and market footwear under the Bellini Kids and Bellini Girls labels. The license covers all levels of distribution in North America for the Hicksville, N.Y.-based company.

Bellini Girls is set for a soft launch in shoe chains for spring ’10. The full line of Bellini Kids and Bellini Girls will launch for fall ’10 at shoe chains, mid-tier department stores and independents. Bellini Girls, available in sizes 11 to 5, will focus on dress shoes retailing from $30 to $60. Bellini Kids will include dress-casuals retailing from $25 to $45.

Pediped Holds Celebrity Shoe Auction
Children’s footwear brand Pediped, of Henderson, Nev., is holding its first-ever shoe auction, Stars for a Wish, to benefit kids with life-threatening illnesses.

The company will hold an online auction of more than 50 celebrity-autographed Pediped baby shoes to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation. (Celebrities include Jessica Alba, Halle Berry, Pierce Brosnan, Andy Garcia, Molly Ringwald, Whoopi Goldberg and Heidi Klum.) The auction will run from Oct. 25 to Nov. 1 on Stars for a Wish has a minimum goal of $25,000.

Bidding will begin at $250 for the signed shoes, with recipients receiving the shoes displayed in a cherry-finished shadow box or clear acrylic box complete with an engraved plaque.
