Luxury brand Bally, which has shifted its roster of power players in recent weeks, has named a new VP of wholesale for North America.

Francis Sango, who has worked in wholesale at Gucci and Ferragamo, joined Bally Nov. 24 and has been tapped as an integral part of Bally’s growth in the U.S. market, with a focus on footwear, accessories and ready-to-wear, according to the company. She will work closely on strategy with new Bally Americas CEO Paulette Garafalo, who was appointed to that position in October. Company CEO Berndt Hauptkorn took the helm Nov. 1.

Sango’s past experience includes running Gucci’s major and specialty account channels in North America, which generated more than $50 million in sales at retail, and launching an e-commerce site for the brand’s men’s and women’s footwear business. At Ferragamo, Sango worked as men’s national sales manager and oversaw strategy for 160 points of sale.

Emiliano Casadei, who filled the VP of wholesale role for two years, has been named business unit director of shoes and will be working from Bally’s headquarters in Caslano, Switzerland.
