- ROCK & REPUBLIC HIRE: Premium denim label Rock & Republic appointed Diane Reichenberger, former chief executive officer of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen's company, Dualstar Entertainment Group LLC, as its chief operating officer. Reichenberger joined Rock & Republic eight weeks ago. She is filling a position that has been vacant for at least 18 months. A Dualstar spokeswoman said that, while the Olsens remain co-presidents of the company they own, no one has replaced Reichenberger. Rock & Republic and Dualstar are based in Culver City, Calif.
- JOINING STEIN MART: Stein Mart Inc. appointed Glori Katz as senior vice president of marketing and advertising, a new position. David Bothe, director of marketing, advertising and sales promotion, resigned in January. Katz was most recently director of advertising for Sears, where she worked for 10 years. She also worked for Jockey and Tommy Hilfiger, developing advertising and licensing programs, and began her career at advertising agencies such as J. Walter Thompson, Grey and Ogilvy & Mather. Jacksonville, Fla.-based Stein Mart has 284 stores nationwide, with moderate-to-better current season fashion, home and gifts.
