Ohne Titel’s Alexa Adams and Flora Gill showed some serious savvy with their inventive knits. Taking inspiration from Egyptian reliefs and sculptures, the pair served up a parade of fabulously raw and textured — almost primitive — knitted tops and sweaters with inset embroidery details. Adding to the craftsy feel were frocks accented with feather fringe and hand-knotted embellishments. The designers also referenced the toned athleticism in Egyptian sculptures — via graphic, body-con dresses — as well as the country’s mummy past. Here, the two added gentle swaddling and draping effects to their signature tailoring, as in asymmetrical jackets with crisscross lapels. It could have gotten tricky, but Adams and Gill pulled it off for a strong and focused spring outing.
