The breath-of-fresh-air lunch; the rapid-fire show; the sexiest second-skin clothes in town, and the star-power audience are, by now, the predictable elements of a L’Wren Scott presentation. Less expected is the growing group of ideas that has transformed her terrific, seemingly personalized items into a bona fide collection, albeit one with Scott’s signature rail-thin look. In addition to her classic, below-the-knee sheaths and skinny pants, Scott has given us an inch or two with more girly styles and fewer strict sirens. Some examples: an ever-so-slightly softer suit with chiffon pleating on the skirt; flared dresses with pillow-ticking trim; frocks with silk flowers at the hips or crocheted details, and even a pink satin romper.
