Doll-like models – their heads piled high with curls – paraded in Aggugini’s powerful collection of opulent dresses. Some styles resembled reworked petticoats, with black lace insets and dotted silver underskirts. One floor-skimming number was crafted from yards of acid pink nylon daubed with black paint. Sharply cut tweed and boucle jackets provided a grown-up counterpoint to all of the froth.
