Nicoll's polished spring collection was packed with elegant silhouettes, including floor-sweeping silk columns and jersey gowns in color blocks of magenta, gray, mint and tangerine. The designer, who said he was inspired by both Nineties minimalism and Fifties modernism, also played with unexpected textures to stylish effect, rendering a sleek racer-back mini dress in shimmering mint and gold brocade, and draping swathes of silk and chiffon over sleeveless silk tops in contrasting colors.
