Elie Tahari was feeling optimistic this season as he worked a Japanese cherry-blossom motif, a symbol of good fortune and love, into fitted silk tops and dresses. While prints were key, referencing Art Deco and artist Tamara de Lempicka, there were also plenty of the great sportswear looks for which the designer is known. In a nod to men’s wear, Tahari also played with graphic tweed jackets, herringbone skirts and stretch flannel trousers. After all, offering something for everyone will surely make retailers happy.
