Seated across from each other at Jean Paul Gaultier on Friday, pop peers Katy Perry and Rihanna hollered over the runway. “Whore,” Rihanna called out affectionately.

“I’ve had nothing but dramas all day,” was one of Perry’s messages, loud enough for Catherine Deneuve and Dita Von Teese to hear. It was all fun and games, as Perry made forking motions toward her mouth.

After dining out, the two turned up Sunday morning side by side at Karl Lagerfeld. Perry, who has started work on a new album, said she was scouting outfits for the MTV European Music Awards to be held in Berlin Nov. 5. “It’s the second time I’m hosting the awards. Last year, I had about 10 different outfits, but I’m planning to one-up myself — it’s an exhausting task,” said Perry, who described her style as anything from “cartoonish” to “the ‘Love Is a Battlefield’” look.

Across the runway, actress Vahina Giocante tuned into her own playlist. “I’m listening to something very rock,” she said, her iPod set to a Soulwax mix of Ladytron’s “Seventeen.” She recently wrapped shooting “30 Beats” opposite Lee Pace, describing her character in that film in similar terms and the love scenes with Pace as “hot.” Next up: a role in a film being shot in Kobe, Japan.

Down the row was budding French actress Déborah François. “This is my first show,” beamed the 22-year-old, adding she just finished the French film “Unmade Beds,” directed by Alexis Dos Santos. Also there was New York socialite Tinsley Mortimer, who said she was preparing for an eight-episode reality show about her life.
