After living in Milan for two years, WWD photographer Kuba Dabrowski recently moved back to his hometown of Warsaw. He says the city — especially the Mokotów and Sródmiescie neighborhoods — is rapidly changing, catching up with the fashion world. “It seems like a local style is being born at the moment, something that corresponds with Warsaw’s architecture, history, grayness,” Dabrowski said. The effect, shown here, comes through by way of the effortlessly pulled-together looks: shirts and sweaters layered over shorts, long skirts and jeans. Sneakers and backpacks are common, yet when it comes to trends, everyone seems to be setting his or her own. “The style is rooted in the street culture,” added Dabrowski. “But still it’s very clean and simple.”
