The French — and their Francophile friends — descended on Governors Island in New York Saturday to celebrate Bastille Day. Dubbed the Parisian Ball, the festivities took place on the grounds of the Fete Paradiso exhibit of antique French carnival rides there. Revelers took to the theme (and rides) in many ways, from red, white and blue colors to traditional Gallic stripes, and even a few looks inspired by Marie Antoinette and her court. Vive La Révolution!
