As they count down the last few days, students' “school uniforms” are an eclectic mix of preppy and street.

By now, most American teens are in the thick of summer vacation, but in Paris, classes don’t typically end until July 5. As they count down the last few days, students have been heading to the Canal Saint-Martin area to hang out with friends and walk along the water, soaking up as much sun as possible. Their “school uniforms” are an eclectic mix of preppy and street, with looks that include classic blazers and denim jackets, logo T-shirts, hoodies, pops of leather and the requisite black boots or sneakers, with only a few making bold moves with yellow heels and fanciful legwear.
