Others opt for cool. Last Saturday, revelers gathered at the Pasadena Museum of California Art for its fourth biennial. Those celebrating delivered plenty of fashion with looks that were chic, charming or downright funky, underscored by a dose of West Coast cool. Meanwhile, in Miami, the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim 2011 attracted a less studied, if more predictable, crowd with lots of shorts paired with easy white shirts, up-to-there bare dresses and, of course, the requisite peasant fare.
