Any city worth its fashion stripes is sure to have a flea market — some of them, world famous. WWD photographers recently visited four of the biggies — Brooklyn Flea in New York, Portobello Road in London, Clignancourt’s Puces Saint-Ouen in Paris and Porta Genova’s Sunday Flea Market in Milan — to capture the style at each. Predictably, the mood throughout was supercasual, if at times rumpled — in great summer linens, of course. T-shirts and tanks showed up with jumpsuits, and cropped pants were prevalent, always with the hottest new comfy shoe.
