PARIS — Every summer, the banks of the Seine sprout palm trees and stretches of sand dotted with deck chairs. Paris Plage, a city initiative since 2002, is a popular attraction for locals and tourists who play the outdoor game pétanque, take dance classes, or just have an ice cream and soak up the Saint-Tropez vibe. Young women dressed the part on a recent weekend, donning rompers, denim, short shorts or even relentlessly chic black.
