Thanks to its recurring role as the fictional Eleanor Waldorf collection on the CW’s hit series “Gossip Girl,” Abigail Lorick’s contemporary line has gotten the kind of buzz you can’t buy. Lorick proved it’s not just an act at her debut presentation, a tableau-style set packed with adorable beauties done up retro style. A Fifties flavor ruled via nipped-waist fit-and-flare dresses, cropped trousers and glam bikinis. Though she made the look current with easy cuts and fresh prints, Lorick should be careful not to wax too nostalgic, lest her collection become a period piece.
