YVES SAINT LAURENCE? Hedi Slimane, the new creative director at Yves Saint Laurent, has tapped one of his longtime associates, Laurence Kleinknecht, as YSL’s new worldwide press director. It is understood she reports to YSL chief executive officer Paul Deneve and is a member of the executive committee. Kleinknecht was head of men’s wear press at Dior Homme when Slimane helmed that brand, and she continued to do the designer’s publicity in his post-Dior career as a photographer and fine artist. Kleinknecht started in fashion in the Nineties at Paris p.r. firm Michèle Montagne.
