A NAPOLÉON WALKS AMONG US: The Young Patrons Circle of American Friends of the Louvre’s annual “Victoire!” benefit, which supports the organization’s mission to make the Louvre’s exhibitions more accessible to art lovers in the U.S. and beyond, always boasts some royal attendees. On Thursday night, His Imperial Highness Jean-Christophe Prince Napoléon, Countess Olympia Arco, Nicolas Niarchos and none other than “Real Housewives’” Ramona Singer mingled through the Bleecker Street Arts Club sipping St. Germain cocktails for the seventh annual event. Singer hammed it up for photographers in front of the artworks on display. WWD wondered if she had been to the Musée du Louvre recently. “You know, I was actually supposed to leave for Paris yesterday, but I had to cancel,” she said. “Last night, when I was supposed to have been on that plane, my daughter Avery gave me the best news on the phone. We were both crying together. So I would’ve missed that moment. And in life, it’s all about moments. You can always go to Paris, but you can’t always get that moment with your daughter on the phone.”

Jean-Christophe Prince Napoléon, a descendant of Napoleon Bonaparte who lives and works in New York as an investment banker, explained his personal reasons for supporting the Louvre. “I was looking for a way to give back to my country,” he said. “I love the art, and it makes sense for me to represent my family. You could spend weeks and weeks at the museum. You have to get lost in it. Someone has to show you the right way. To go at night is the best.”
