SIGN OF THE TIMES?: Was Yohji Yamamoto sending a message at his men’s show in Paris on Thursday? The Japanese designer smiled as he took his bow wearing a jacket with the words “For Sale” stitched onto the back. Like the models that paraded before him, he was sporting a fake black eye. A spokeswoman declined requests for a backstage interview, saying that Yamamoto was hosting a cocktail gathering immediately after the show.
Yohji Yamamoto Inc. has been in the hands of Japanese private equity fund Integral Corp. since filing for bankruptcy protection in 2009.
