YANKEE DOODLE DANDY: Friends and family were out in full force to celebrate John Pomerantz’s 80th birthday Saturday night at his daughter Andrea Pomerantz Lustig’s Waccabuc, N.Y., home. Tom Murry, Stephen I. Sadove, William Lauder, Susan Davidson, Stephen and Miriam Ruzow, Larry Leeds, Richard Beckman, Abbey Doneger and Alan Golub were among the industry friends who enjoyed the barbecue, lakefront setting, Broadway show tunes and toasts. The party was hosted by Pomerantz’s three daughters, Pomerantz Lustig, Susie Davis and Marnie MacLean, and their husbands. Speakers teased the former Leslie Fay chief about his constant aches and pains, golf game and penchant for colorful golf attire, and praised him for his generosity and good taste in women (a shout-out to his wife, Laura). In keeping with Pomerantz’s love of colorful clothing, the party’s dress code was red, white and blue. Fitting for a guy actually born on the Fourth of July.
