REACHING OUT: The second edition of the International Woolmark Prize will have a greater geographic reach than last year, with expanded Asian and Indian regions.
Competitors will hail from China, Hong Kong, South Korea, Japan, the Middle East, Pakistan and Lebanon.
The judging panel for the Asian region will include Kevin Carrigan, global creative director, Calvin Klein and Calvin Klein Jeans; Vogue China editor Angelica Cheung; Simon Lock, chief executive of the Lock Group; Bartley Ingram, head of art at Joyce Boutique; and Christian Wijnants, winner of the 2012-13 International Woolmark Prize.
Lock will also be a judge in the Indian region, along with the designer Martin Grant, and Sunil Sethi, president of the Fashion Design Council of India.

The judging events will take place in the various markets over the next two months, and the regional finalists will meet at Milan Fashion Week in February to compete for the prize.
The winner will receive $100,000, and the chance for his or her collection to be stocked at stores including Saks Fifth Avenue, Harvey Nichols, 10 Corso Como, Joyce, and David Jones in Australia.
