TURNING THE TABLES: Moschino creative director Rossella Jardini has brought her quirky window dressing to Milan’s La Rinascente department store near the city’s imposing cathedral, the Duomo. For Milan Fashion Week, Jardini replicated the store’s eight windows in miniature form, and even recreated the Duomo square and the nearby shopping promenade, Corso Vittorio Emanuele, where pigeons typically dwell. In a role reversal, the pigeons, clad in Moschino and Cheap and Chic looks for spring-summer, are central characters in the windows, seated at tables in a bar on the Corso, or strolling and flying by with shopping bags. The human mannequins, also wearing clothes by the fashion house, are positioned as passers-by.
