LONDON — London is rapidly becoming a hot spot for the spring collections.

Today Matthew Williamson will reveal his decision to show in London in September to mark the 25th anniversary of the British Fashion Council and London Fashion Week.

The designer, who usually shows in New York, joins Burberry, which last week said it will show in London for the anniversary.

“We were so impressed with the momentum that’s building and the BFC’s plans to mark the anniversary that we decided to show in London. It’s a landmark season for London Fashion Week and we want to join in the celebrations,” Williamson told WWD.

As reported, Burberry Prorsum will move its show from Milan to London, and close London Fashion Week, which runs from Sept. 18 to 22. Williamson last showed in London in September 2007 to mark the 10th anniversary of his company.
