LONDON — The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited a community center in Birmingham, England, this morning, to show their support for those hit by the riots there last week.
They spent time with the families of the three men who were killed in the area during the uprising.
The couple were following in the footsteps of Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall, who visited riot-hit areas in London this week, and Prince Harry, who on Thursday visited Salford, in northern England, where a spate of violence also took place.
The duchess wore a look from Alexander McQueen’s pre-fall 2011 collection — a military-inspired white blouse and navy skirt, both embellished with gold buttons — during her tour of the area.
